We are proud to have provided innovative and independent advice to clients for over 22 years, during which we have advised on over 200 completed transactions to date and raised over £8bn of financing in the process.

Highly Commended Award 2012
We were highly commended in the best financial advisor category at the Partnerships Awards 2012. We have also won the best financial adviser award at the Public Private Finance Awards.
Acquisition of Opal assets
We acted on behalf of Campus Living Villages and Arlington Investors for their £245m purchase of eight student accommodation assets from the administrators of the Opal portfolio. Senior financing was in the form of a £210m, 50-year bond, which is believed to be the longest maturity achieved to date for a UK student accommodation transaction.
First school PFI and school refinancing
DWPF arranged the funding for the Sir John Colfox School in Bridport, Dorset. This was the first secondary school to be built under the PFI regime in England. We were also the first financial adviser to refinance a school, reaching financial close on a transaction in 1999.
University of Hertfordshire
DWPF acted as financial adviser to the University of Hertfordshire on its procurement of 3,000 student bedrooms at its College Lane campus. Senior funding was sourced by ULiving, the preferred bidder, from a £145m inde-linked unwrapped bond via a private placement, a first of its kind to be implemented in Europe.
Derby Residual Waste PPP
Project finance facilities totalling £190m were arranged on behalf of Shanks for the development of a 190,000 tonne per annum MRF and gasification plant in Derby.
University of Reading
We advised a private sector sponsor on the £230m Reading University estate transfer transaction. Senior debt was provided by Aviva – its first investment in this sector.
Renewables
