Milestone accommodation project for Nottingham Trent University
DWPF advised UPP on this milestone accommodation project which combines residential and non-residential elements.
Total financing raised was £56m with RBS providing the required senior financing element. This new build project includes the provision of 911 student residences together with student union and other non residential student facilities.
The project is the 5th project carried out by UPP on a partnership basis with Nottingham Trent University, DWPF having advised UPP on all of these projects. The project reached financial close on 8th February.

Financial modelling and analysis
DWPF are providing financial modelling services to InfraMed Infrastructure in relation to PPP investments in the Mediterranean.

DWPF were appointed by Amber Infrastructure Ltd to provide modelling support and analysis of their portfolio of assets.
The work involved sensitivity analysis on their existing operational models and required detailed knowledge of local and international accounting treatments.

University of Reading acquisition reaches financial close
DWPF advised UPP on the acquisition of the University of Reading's entire stock of student residential accommodation.
The deal closed in December 2011 and DWPF structured and arranged the finance for this transaction.
The total finance raised was £230m and the full senior debt amount was provided by Aviva Commercial Finance, representing its first transaction in the sector. As part of the transaction, UPP's existing partnership transactions with UoR were refinanced into the same structure to create a single operating platform.

Iona Capital
DWPF have been appointed by Iona Capital to provide financial advice to their Environmental VCT fund.
The fund invests primarily in AD (Anaerobic Digestion) and IVC (In-Vessel Composting) plants. We have focused mainly on developing flexible financial models in order to assist the investment appraisal process.

University of Hertfordshire advisory role
DWPF appointed as financial advisers to the University on its 3,000 bed student accommodation PPP.
The University of Hertfordshire has gone to market for the design, build, finance and operation of 3,000-bed student accommodation project at the University's College Lane campus. DWPF is advising the University on the financial aspects of the transaction including the assessment of private sector bids. Anticipated capital expenditure is likely to be in the region of £200 million.

Financial modelling of asset portfolio
DWPF have been appointed by our Client to build a financial model to evaluate their portfolio of operating projects.
One bespoke financial model was developed in order to include a number of individual projects and provide management with the ability to evaluate individual projects or potential restructured groups. The model included existing opening balances and operating assumptions and enables the evaluation of various refinancing options under upside and downside scenarios.
The process also included interrogating 3rd party models and adding value through modelling efficiencies.
