David Wylde

David is a Public Sector Accountant by profession and after 18 years in the public sector, where he reached the position of Director of Finance, he spent a further 10 years working in banking specialising in public sector and tax related transactions.

David established DWPF in 1998 with an emphasis on the then developing PFI market. Led by David, the company arranged a number of landmark deals and has subsequently grown into a leading advisery firm with wide ranging experience in the PFI/PPP market place. Within DWPF, David has assembled a first class team of experienced professionals and an outstanding financial modelling capability with a number of modellers fully trained at the company.
David continues to lead the team at DWPF and brings his experience and skills to bear in developing and managing complex financial structures for the ever growing client base. David sees creating continual innovation in the financial markets as the most important aspect of his firm’s services, “staying one step ahead is the best way of creating value for our clients”.

Andrew Date

Andrew has specialised in the PFI / PPP market sector since 2000 advising on a large number of transactions across the industry.

His advisory experience encompasses the bidding and procurement of new projects, the refinancing of individual and portfolio transactions, secondary markets and project restructurings. His focus has been to enhance financing efficiency and investment value for clients. As an experienced adviser and transactor, Andrew has lead managed a substantial number of complex project finance transactions and possesses a wide knowledge and understanding of the structured finance market.
Prior to joining DWPF in 2000, Andrew’s primary specialisation was within the UK structured asset finance and corporate finance market, gained through a diverse career within the Barclays group. Within that group he held a number of senior positions within the large value asset finance area, risk management and the corporate finance sector. He also holds wider experience of property and personal finance.

Elaine Lydon

Elaine is heavily involved in the student accommodation business; structuring, negotiating and procuring the most competitive funding terms for demand risk projects.

Working with the bid team she ensures a competitive and robust commercial, taxation and funding perspective. As part of the closing team she helps bring the transaction to signature quickly and efficiently.

- Extensive experience in the higher education sector finance and the funding market for demand risk transactions
Prior to DWPF, Elaine was financial adviser to institutions in central government and higher education (including HEFCE) which were embarking on PPP projects or undergoing strategic reviews. She has also spent 2 ½ years in the DTI providing financial advice to civil servants and ministers on grants to business.

Paul Rowan

Paul joined DWPF in 2000 and has advised on many primary PFI/PPP projects.

Services provided include advice on bid strategy, corporate and financial structuring, funding competitions covering bank and fixed and index linked bond options. Activities include public sector presentations, financial elements of bids, negotiating banking documents and project management to reach financial close. Paul is firmly focused on ensuring the financing aspects of bids are fully addressed allowing clients to focus on design, construction and facilities management.
Sectors covered include Education, Health and Waste Management. Paul has also advised on a number of successful transactions in the secondary market including refinancing, which usually requires innovative structuring, and equity sales and purchases where a thorough review of the existing projects to identify value enhancements is required..
Before joining DWPF, Paul obtained his accountancy qualification working as a graduate trainee accountant with Allied Domecq and moved quickly into finance with JP Morgan Chase. Paul subsequently joined Barclays and has experience in investment management with Skandia Life and project finance with Leading Leisure Plc.

Graham Bloomfield

Graham has been building financial models since 2000 and has specialised in the PFI/PPP sector since 2003.

Graham is responsible for completing individual complex transactions and also for managing the financial modelling services that DWPF provide. Graham has a wide range of experience in primary bidding, secondary markets, debt refinancing and in the building of bespoke models for clients. This varied modelling experience and understanding of accounting, financial and commercial issues enables him to provide effective solutions to meet clients’ objectives.
Graham joined DWPF in 2003 and has managed the financial modelling team since 2005. Prior to joining DWPF he held various financial positions in the manufacturing, retail, energy and telecommunication sectors. He qualified with the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants in 1997.

Daniel Tyerman

Daniel has worked in the PFI/PPP industry since 2003, initially focusing on primary bidding, but more recently specialising in the refinancing and restructuring of projects to improve financial efficiency and shareholder value.

Daniel has also worked on a number of secondary market transactions at DWPF on both the acquisition and disposal sides, providing financial analysis to aid valuation of investor interests. Daniel has a detailed understanding of financing structures, accounting regulations and commercial issues relevant to the PFI sector.
Daniel began his career at KPMG in 1998 where he qualified as a Chartered Accountant, before specialising as a Financial Modeller in 2001. Daniel subsequently moved to Serco Defence and Aerospace where he built on his financial modelling experience, providing financial and commercial support for a number of large PFI bids. Daniel joined DWPF in 2005.

Mark Haselhurst

Mark has been working in the PFI/PPP industry since 2003, initially focusing on primary transactions in the University Accommodation sector and has more recently gained experience in the waste sector.

Mark has also worked on building financial models for the debt refinancing of existing projects, undertaken valuations of equity stakes in the secondary market and built bespoke financial models for clients. Mark works alongside clients at all stages of the process, from initial scope to financial close, to ensure that the financial model is accurate, user-friendly and optimised to achieve best value for the client.
Mark Joined DWPF as a graduate trainee in 2003 and successfuly completed the in-house training programme. Mark is now an experienced member of the financial modelling team and has qualified as a Chartered Accountant during his time at DWPF.

Tim Phillips

Tim has been working in the PFI/PPP industry since 2004, initially focusing on primary transactions in the University Accommodation sector.

Tim has recently built financial models for the debt refinancing of an existing project and has also worked on a porfolio valuation model. Tim supports clients on a regular basis providing initial options appraisal on business development opportunities.
Tim joined DWPF as a trainee in 2004 after successfully completing an Economics degree at University of Leeds and has now completed the in-house training programme. Tim is also in the final stage of studying to become a Chartered Accountant.

James Gable

James joined DWPF in January 2008 as a trainee financial modeller and is currently completing the in-house training programme.

James assists the experienced financial modellers with model building and financial analysis and also provides ad-hoc support to the advisers.
Prior to joining DWPF, James successfully completed a Mathematics degree at Warwick University and as part of the graduate trainee programme is currently studying for his chartered accountancy (ACA) qualification.

Alex Todhunter

Alex joined DWPF in 2008 as a trainee financial modeller and is currently completing the in-house training programme.

His main role is to assist with the model building and financial analysis, with specific focus on the University Accommodation sector.
Prior to joining DWPF, Alex successfully graduated in Theoretical Physics from Imperial College London and is currently studying for his Chartered Accountancy (ACA) qualification.

George Thomson

George is the newest member of the modelling team, having joined in 2009 as a trainee financial modeller.

He is currently completing the extensive in-house training programme and will shortly commence his Chartered Accountancy training.
Prior to joining DWPF, George was at Dresdner Kleinwort in their Credit Research team and is also a graduate of Durham University with a degree in Physics.

Natalie May

Natalie joined DWPF in September 2009 and ensures the smooth running of our London office.

Natalie is PA to David Wylde and other Board members and is also responsible for Human Resources, company accounting, IT and Marketing.
Prior to joining DWPF, Natalie studied Theatre and Film Studies at the Metropolitan University, and gained an MA in Contemporary Art Theory at Wimbledon School of Art. She has and spent 6 years working in Office Management at other organisations.

Wendy Parkins

Wendy joined DWPF in 2005 and provides a range of office support and administrative duties to the team.

Wendy also assists the Office Manager with IT support, Company accounting, event management and other ad-hoc office requirements.
Prior to joining DWPF, Wendy studied Art History and Film at Sussex University and since has gained over 10 years of varied experience of administrative support in financial services.
