Overview

DWPF has been fully involved in the UK PFI/PPP marketplace from inception to the present day, playing an active role as a financial adviser in its establishment and ongoing development. The sector is now a significant contributor to the delivery of public services in the UK.

This decade of involvement in the sector has seen the firm arrange financing for over 100 completed transactions, across a diverse range of market sectors, with financing totalling in excess of £4 billion.

Focusing primarily on private sector clients, DWPF provides financial advisory and modelling services to sponsors involved in primary bidding transactions. These services are provided from project inception and solution formulation, through the procurement process, structuring and negotiation of financing, all the way to financial close.

DWPF also has significant experience in refinancing PFI and PPP projects, usually during their operational phases, to release additional value from the financing terms and structure. We have provided financial advice and modelling services on over 20 successful refinancing transactions leading to a detailed understanding of not only private sector requirements and objectives, but also public sector issues, sensitivities and central Government guidance and policy.

Our breadth of experience, industry knowledge and network of contacts places us in an ideal position to aid investors looking to realise or acquire investment interests in PFI / PPP transactions through the sale, purchase or securitisation of equity or other investment holdings. DWPF has provided valuations of equity and other investments for vendors, prepared relevant sale documentation and managed the process to close, maximising  value achieved. Conversely DWPF has advised purchasing clients on bidding strategy, valuation and due diligence for the acquisition of equity and other investment interests.
