DWPF provided model audit advice to Aberdeen Standard on the acquisition of stake in Airband Community Internet from Amber Infrastructure Group.
Airband is at the forefront of the UK’s plan to roll out fibre-to-the-premises connections in rural communities across the country, with plans to deliver more than half a million new premises connections by 2025 through a combination of subsidised and unsubsidised investments.
Under the deal, Aberdeen will acquire the firm, with the Amber-managed National Digital Infrastructure Fund and the company’s founder retaining a minority stake.
