Mark leads DWPF’s waste advisory business, providing clients with financial and commercial support from initial concept through to execution. Having spent over 10 years operating as both advisor and developer within the waste industry, Mark is able to offer clients the benefit of his first-hand, detailed understanding of the sector whilst helping them to arrive at the optimum solution for their projects.
Prior to joining DWPF in 2019, Mark spent seven years at Wheelabrator Technologies Inc where he held the position of Finance Director in their UK office. In his time there Mark led, structured and financially closed three complex energy from waste projects requiring a total of ~£750m of funding. This included the £330m project financing of Kemsley in 2016, a pathfinder transaction in the sector providing the blueprint for financially structuring energy from waste projects in the absence of long-term authority fuel contracts.
Mark is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales and holds an Economics degree from Nottingham University.
